The operation is quite simple, you must first install the Lime application on your smartphone, iPhone or Android.
Then you must enter your phone number or, simpler, register with your Facebook account.
The next step in registering for Lime is to agree to the terms of use and then accept the location, which is required to find the nearest Lime scooter.
Lime then asks you if you have a sponsorship code, you can use the code RGJAI4 which will allow you to have free first scooter races.
These different steps will have taken only a few minutes and you can already use a Lime scooter.
All you have to do is find one available thanks to the geolocation system and scan the barcode of the scooter to unlock it and start using it.
Once you have used up all the credit on your promo code, to continue using Lime, you will need to credit your “Wallet” with a credit card.
In Washington, D.C., the price of Lime is $1 to unlock the scooter and then $0.24 per minute of use.
It is also possible to reserve a scooter for up to 15 minutes, but this reservation time will be charged as if you were using it.
Also note that depending on the cities, Lime can indicate red areas on the map. These are areas where you cannot return the scooter. In Washington, large areas are concerned around the Capitol, the White House, the Pentagon, …
