[Review after 4 months] PLIM, washable sanitary pad, a complement to menstrual underwear
I often read comments from women with “hemorrhagic” periods saying no menstrual underwear can protect them for a full day. I understand and sympathize, as I have that type of period on the first day too, and even with the most absorbent models from Modibodi or Thinx, I feel more comfortable changing after 4 to 6 hours. However, there’s another solution I find quite practical: using a washable sanitary pad as a complement, and removing it after 4 hours. That way, the combination (menstrual underwear & sanitary pad) will last a whole day. Plus, the washable pad is smaller than menstrual underwear, less odorous, and you can slip it into…

[Review] Niod NAAP Non-Acid Acid Precursor 15%, an Exfoliant without AHA/BHA/PHA
Well, this will be my last article on NIOD, because I’ve already bought half of the products from this brand, I need to stop at some point 😉 And also, I only have one face, and one suitcase, I need to calm down. I didn’t plan to buy this product at first, but after my skin barrier got damaged, I stopped all acids. I tried 2 products from NIOD and liked them. I can’t stand not having an exfoliant in my routine, so I gave NAAP a chance. At first, I didn’t even want to write an article about this product because NOTHING happened during 2 weeks of diligent use.…

[Review] NIOD SS Sanskrit Saponins for Dilated Pores – Before/After Photos
I already have a cleanser I’m in love with (the blue one from Rosette) but the reviews on Niod Sanskrit Saponins are so impressive that, weak as I am, I gave in and bought the 90ml version. On Lookfantastic, they have promos all the time, so I got it for €19 with the code OCTOBER20, compared to €27 on the official site. If you’re not familiar with the brand NIOD, I wrote a super long article about the brand’s philosophy and bestsellers here. What’s it for? Fans of double cleansing or Asian layering know: first you remove makeup, then you use a cleanser.Niod Sanskrit Saponins falls into the second category.…

[Review] NIOD MMHC 2 Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Complex for Dehydrated Skin – Before/After Photos
I’ve just discovered a new brand: NIOD. It’s been around for ages, but I finally dared to splurge on the brand’s three bestsellers: CAIS 2, MMHC2, and S0.I reviewed CAIS 2 here, and S0 here, so here’s my review of MMHC 2. Packaging Compared to The Ordinary, NIOD’s packaging is super classy. However, the bottle is made of tinted glass (to protect the product from light), and you have to be careful because it breaks very easily. Since it’s very liquid, one clumsy move and the bottle spills its entire contents. Given the price of the serum, keep it in a safe place. Texture & Scent In general, hyaluronic acid…

[Review] NIOD S0 Survival 0, an Innovative Antioxidant
A quick review Survival 0 is in order because it’s one of the must-haves at NIOD. Note: it’s 0 (zero), not O.If you’re not familiar with the NIOD brand, I’ve already done a general overview here. The brand was founded by Brandon Truaxe, who claims that if he had to take 2 products to a desert island, they would be NIOD CAIS 2 , and S0 What is it? S0 is part of the protection line consisting of 4 products: S0, S10, S20, S30.The other three have sun protection. Only S0 doesn’t, because it’s meant to be used in the evening. S0 is an antioxidant, designed to protect the skin…

[Review] NIOD CAIS2 Copper Amino Isolate Serum 2:1 for Sensitized Skin (acne, rosacea, texture, sensitivity) – Before / After Photos
This summer, due to the heatwave and having to wear a COVID mask at all times, my skin has had enough: it feels attacked and has been really weakened. It’s starting to go red for no reason, even though I’m not prone to rosacea. I thought about slathering on B5 (from Skinceuticals), but I’m game, so I’m going to try other things. I noticed that my skin was soothed and redness disappeared whenever I used The Ordinary’s Buffet + Copper Peptides 1% serum (which contains copper peptides), so I decided to invest in a higher-end, better-formulated product containing copper peptides: NIOD CAIS2, which is from the same DECIEM group. Apparently,…

NIOD: Reviews & Best-Sellers Overview – Before/After Photos 3 Weeks
NIOD is a brand from DECIEM, which also includes Hylamide, The Chemistry Brand, and The Ordinary in its lineup. DECIEM is a Canadian company based in Toronto. All products are still manufactured in Canada. The Story of DECIEM The story of DECIEM is the story of its founder, Brandon Truaxe, who unfortunately left us too soon. After several years at Indeed Labs, he decided to leave and start his own company, DECIEM (a Latin word meaning TEN, like the TEN brands he would create). Due to his previous experience at Indeed Labs, he had a 3-year non-compete clause preventing him from creating any facial products. So instead, Brandon launched dietary…

[Bloggers’ Life] – Thoughts during Covid, Part 3
This article is unstructured, it will go in all directions, but I would just like to take a moment to write you and reveal, once again, the behind-the-scenes of the blog. I think it’s interesting and especially useful for me to track the progress of the blog, which is now part of my daily life I work in digital marketing and more precisely Google Adwords. I have a big client and several small clients since we are digital nomads. The contract with my big client was supposed to end at the end of March 2020 and we were supposed to be in Vietnam at the end of February. The blog…
