7h stopover in Las Vegas (United States): a Giant Amusement Park

To make Mexico City – Paris, JB found an atypical but economical and interesting route: Mexico City – Las Vegas – Paris with a 7h stopover in Las Vegas. At the beginning, I just wanted to rest quietly in one of the lounges at the airport (because we have the Priority Pass with the American Express), but JB encouraged me and convinced me to go out and visit the city a bit. I admit that I had a rather negative preconception of Las Vegas, but after a few hours of stopover there, I changed my mind. Part 1: Travel Diary Part 2: Practical Tips Part 1: Travel Diary The arrival…

Here is the itinerary that I propose to you (the program below is an optimized version of what we visited) Part 1: Itinerary Here is the link to the Google Maps map. To use this custom map (with different layers, day by day itineraries) on your smartphone, I have already shown here how to do it…

[ESTA] Maximum duration, Boundary countries, Traps… What no one will tell you about ESTA

If you don’t go to the United States very often, you don’t risk falling into the ESTA “traps”, but if you go there a little too often, or if you’re around the world and travel a little too much in North America, here are the traps you risk falling into, and the consequences can be serious, both financial and administrative (from the loss of airline tickets to prohibition of ESTA application, prison, deportation to France…) Most French people apply for an ESTA to travel to the United States because the process is simpler and cheaper than applying for a visa at the U.S. Embassy. There are a lot of unofficial…

Attend a rocket launch at Cape Canaveral (USA) – Road trip in Florida #8

The best thing about traveling is that sometimes you have incredible experiences without having anticipated them Last Monday evening, I logged on to the Kennedy Space Center site in Cape Canaveral, which we visited the next day. The purpose of this connection is quite simple: to see if I can get cheaper tickets online than on site So I discover completely by chance that on Wednesday (the day after our visit), there is a rocket launch planned to put a GPS satellite into orbit. This launch is organized by the company United Launch Alliance (ULA). Ouahou !!!! It seems so crazy to watch a rocket launch that I didn’t even…

Universal Islands of Adventure in Orlando (USA): Our favorite theme park – Road trip in Florida #6

If the travel diary to Disney parks is in vlog format (read more here), I absolutely want to show you the Universal park we visited on the blog. [Practical Travel Guide] Disney parks in Orlando (USA): Top Attractions, where to stay, Fast Pass: Road trip in Florida #5

So, it’s already been a week that we are on our Road trip in Florida (read part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4). There are about ten amusement parks in all in Orlando but we decided to spend only 3 days: 2 at Disney and 1 at Universal. Being very tired, we didn’t prepare much for these magical days, apart from buying the tickets in advance. And we’re wrong to come in “I’m living in the moment” mode because there’s a lot of planning to do, especially when you spend so little time in Orlando. Don’t make the same mistakes we did. In this guide, we share some tips…
