Temples of Angkor (Cambodia): sunrise in Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, Banteay Kdei, Pre Rup, Oriental Mebon – Travel Diary
We motivate ourselves to leave the hotel at 5am to see the sunrise in Angkor Wat. It’s dark at night and it is especially very cold. Siem Reap (Cambodia): The first days
From Bangkok, we take a plane with AirAsia to Siem Reap. Even if the plane is 1 hour late, the tuk-tuk sent by the hotel is still waiting for us. Part 1: Travel Diary Part 2: Practical Tips Part 1: Travel Diary In spite of this long wait, the tuk-tuk driver always has a smile on his face and says hello to the Cambodian woman, i.e. by joining his two hands in front of his chest. Let’s go for 1 hour of tuk tuk, where we breathe the pollution with full lungs. But it’s still very bearable vs. Bangkok or Kathmandu. Our hotel is called Sakun Angkor Boutique, it’s a…

Bangkok (Thailand): Return after 1 year
As it is cold in Europe (even in Seville), it is time for us to find some sun in Asia. From Seville to Bangkok We ran a simulation to find out which route was the most economical to link Spain and Siem Reap. Result: Barcelona – Bangkok. Since we liked the city last year, we decided to stay there for a week before going to Cambodia. Honestly I don’t know if it was a good idea: we had to fly from Seville to Barcelona, sleep there one night, then Barcelona to Moscow (3h45 stopover) and then Moscow to Bangkok – in a small plane where even I am cramped. It…

Reviews: GoGirl, female urinal for (finally) doing p*p* standing up
Before I went around the world, I bought a GoGirl, I was so excited at the idea of being able to relieve my bladder anywhere (like guys) that I wondered why I hadn’t tried to create/buy/apply for it before. The GoGirl (12€, Amazon link) allows you to urinate standing like a man and get around stressful situations for a woman such as: toilets with questionable hygiene, impossibility to find a toilet, or terrain configuration not compatible with the squatting position .It is a reusable medical silicone object, to be placed where it is needed. It is compatible with zipper skirts and pants. You can indeed urinate like a man in…
