Roaming fees
Norway is not a member of the European Union and is therefore not covered by the “free roaming” rule between EU countries.
Despite this, Free and Bouygues have decided to include Norway in their offers. Orange’s roaming rate is very reasonable, but SFR’s is not!

Buy a SIM card before you leave
If you plan a little ahead, you can buy a prepaid SIM card before your trip to Norway. You’ll receive it by mail and all you have to do is put the card in your phone when you arrive.

Buying a 4G SIM at the airport
At Oslo airport, you’ll find a Lyca Mobile stand. However, prices are quite high as you can see in this photo.
Buying a SIM card in town
Finally, you can buy a SIM card in town at Telenor and Telia phone shops.
You can also buy one at gas stations, but it’s not recommended, because you’ll have to activate the card yourself, which isn’t necessarily easy.
