UPDATE 22/03/2021: Restrictions & Entry into Montenegro

You can follow the measures & restrictions in Montenegro by checking the official government website.

Currently, the entry and travel restrictions are:

  • Entry: negative PCR test within 48h
  • no quarantine
  • no travel between regions. However, the movement of foreigners is tolerated. We took the car between Durmitor and Podgorica and then Podgorica to Albania and the police let us pass without asking for proof: both in a private car and also by bus
  • due to this travel restriction between regions, regional buses are rarer but there are still some
  • restaurants in big cities (PODGORICA, CETINJE, KOTOR, PLUŽINE, BAR, PLJEVLJA, BUDVA, TIVAT, BIJELO POLJE, MOJKOVAC, HERCEG NOVI, ULCINJ, NIKSIC) are closed. Only takeaway is allowed. You can order for delivery via the GLOVO or DONESI app. The GLOVO app is better because the features are at least translated into French.
  • For Ulcinj, Niksic: closure of non-essential shops
  • In small towns, restaurants are still open until 6pm.
  • Some hotel restaurants are open for their guests until 10pm without any issue. Either as room service or with table service.
  • Curfew at 9pm
