[Reflection] #23: Karma & Destiny
Today I read an article about karma and I’m not sure if I’ve told you about it. It’s very difficult to help people, because most of the time they don’t need help but just validation.
Many people contact us for advice on how to become digital nomads and when we ask a simple practical question, we annoy them because we don’t cover them with “you’ll make it” like dream sellers.
I’ve already helped someone much more than necessary and I got sick for several weeks. Because I shortened their karmic trials and had to pay their karma in their place.
Only help those who truly ask for your help and deserve it. Otherwise, they won’t have learned anything from this life and will have to be reborn, and you bear the burden thinking you’re doing good.
This also applies to close family!!!
I often talk about cycles, but there is a hierarchy that I only discovered two years ago. My mother had learned it from a feng shui master and passed it on to me.
Five elements determine a person’s fortune:
- Destiny
- Fortune cycles (favorable or unfavorable periods)
- Feng shui
- Blessings inherited from past generations (you can also use the term “family karma”)
- Knowledge
Unfortunately, what really depends on us only comes from the 3rd position onward.
Having only basic knowledge of feng shui, my biggest lever of action is the second: fortune cycles : giving my all when the favorable moment is here, and resting and learning when the time is unfavorable.
To calculate cycles, you can use sidereal astrology, Bazi, Bazi based on the Yi King… but the simplest is to list all the important events in your life and spot the cycles. It can be a 9-year, 10-year, 12-year, 30-year cycle. And you’ll easily guess the future because it will be more or less the same energy as 9 years ago, for example.
Message to parents: You cannot change your child’s destiny because they are born with their own destiny. But you can greatly help them
- by offering them a favorable environment (feng shui) where qi flows. Taking them often to places where there is qi (aka places where you feel good)
- by cultivating your own kindness (number 4)
- by passing on knowledge or teaching them to acquire knowledge (number 5)
