[Test & Reviews] The Best Face Care & Spas in Lisbon (Portugal)

Today, I bring you to discover the best facials & spas (which I have personally tested) in Lisbon. To know that they are the best in the city, I simply trusted the hundreds of reviews left here and there on the Internet and tested them myself 😀

Why is it interesting to do a facial in Lisbon? (or in Portugal in general) ? Because the same treatment, of the same quality, would have cost +50% or even twice as much in France. You can therefore treat yourself to luxury treatments without (too) breaking your PEL.

Part 1: Skin Life

Alert: this is really the best facial care in Lisbon !

It is a boutique selling niche perfumes and organic cosmetics, but every Wednesday there is a dermatologist / beautician who comes to give facials in a beautiful treatment room at the back of the store. This is a secret address of the lisboètes because the store does not promote it. I told in detail my experience with them here.

They sent me by email the list of proposed treatments that you can consult here (pdf file). I opted for the“Skin cleansing” at 90€ for 1h30. After the extraction of blackheads and a divine massage, my skin is luminous, smooth, plumped up and so well hydrated. The effect lasted for several days after the treatment. No pimples to report after the treatment

Part 2: Organii Day Spa

There are several stores in Lisbon but you have to go to the stores where there is a spa. I go to the store located at Embaxaida, a very very nice concept store.

This spa offers several signature treatments from Organii (where they use a mix of all the brands on sale in their store), or signature treatments from specific brands such as Voya, Dr. Hauschka, Absolution. It is very famous so it is better to make an appointment 2 weeks in advance (at least).

I opted for two treatments: one with the Irish brand Voya (which I mentioned here), and Absolution. While I liked both, I particularly liked the Voya treatment, where I was given real pieces of seaweed on my face. The treatment also includes a mini-massage of the back and arms, while the Absolution treatment includes only a mini-massage of the arms and feet.

Part 3: The Retreat Spa

This spa is nestled in a hotel located one block from the Avenida, the Portuguese Champs Elysees. The place is hype, but no less effective.

You have to cross the entire hotel lobby, climb a nice staircase to reach a very intimate space that is the spa, where the receptionist welcomes me in perfect English accent.

There are several 60-minute facials and two 80-minute facials. When I went there to make an appointment, I had a little purge (because of the Portuguese cream at Benamôr that ended up in the trash), so she recommended the 80-minute purifying treatment.

The care is very good, my skin is super luminous afterwards. But the beautician is too commercial, she keeps pushing me to buy – and making me feel bad – as if I had shitty skin, I didn’t like this overly marketing side. I’m offering it anyway because it’s the only place where you can get an appointment for the same day. Here is their care brochure
