Buy a SIM card in the city
As everywhere in Central America, it is very easy to find a place to buy a SIM card. Look for a store that displays the Claro or Tigo phone operator logos.
We find one easily and the seller will manage the activation of the card for us. No need to show ID. The operation takes about ten minutes maximum.
