Vinted Return Shipping: How to get reimbursed by PayPal?

Following some disappointing orders, I had to send the products back to the Vinted sellers. The problem: Vinted does not cover the return shipping costs.
But, fortunately, these purchases were made with PayPal, which offers additional coverage. As a result, if Vinted reimburses me for what I paid the seller, PayPal reimburses me for the fees I had to pay out of my own pocket to return the product to the seller.

Please note that the possibility to return an item and have the return fees refunded by PayPal works for all purchases made with PayPal on any site, whether purchased in France or internationally. However, we are limited to 12 returns per year and 30€ maximum per shipment.
All you have to do is activate the service for free.
Note: Even if your Vinted purchase took place BEFORE the activation of the service, you will still be refunded.

Note: I make it on purpose that the link isn’t clickable, because many people scam with fake PayPal links, I want to be transparent with you so I leave it to you to copy/paste this link yourself.
Once the service is activated, you can go to the “Activity” tab to find the order you need to return.
Click on the order in question and then on“request a refund of the return shipping costs”
You will need to provide proof of payment. I usually send the packages back by normal Colissimo, so I don’t have to bother printing the packing slip. Everything is done by machine at La Poste, the slip is self-adhesive, it’s great.
Concerning the proof of deposit, you can just take a picture of the proof of deposit, the price of postage is clearly indicated in addition.
You can track the status of your claims on the account. You will receive several emails from PayPal to keep you up to date on the progress of your claims. All requests will be processed within 5 business days.
