Combined Air France + SNCF ticket: how to get your train ticket

Now living in the countryside and wanting to buy a plane ticket to Vietnam, I discover that Air France offers combined Train + Plane tickets.

Quite interesting: not only is it no more expensive than buying the two separately, but above all, if a train problem makes me miss my flight, Air France will cover me (refund, seat on the next flight, etc.).

The day before my departure, I log into Air France to check in: it works without any problem, as usual.

However, I can’t find how to get my SNCF train ticket!

I don’t panic, I tell myself that whatever happens, I’ll be able to show my reservation. But it’s still not convenient; I’d have to get on a random car, find the conductor, …

I decide to call Air France’s customer service (on a public holiday…). After a few minutes on hold, I get in touch with an operator who, after understanding my problem, puts me on hold while she goes to find out.

Just as I imagine myself struggling, she comes back with the answer: you have to go to the following website: https://check-in.accesrail.com/

After entering my last name, first name, and Air France reservation number, I can download my train ticket without any problem.

I then checked the emails I received, as well as my Air France account: the information was nowhere to be found (or very, very well hidden!).
