How to convert American Express rewards points into Marriott points?

Every time you spend with your American Express card, you earn rewards points with a very simple formula: €1 spent = 1 rewards point.

Once you’ve accumulated enough points, you can use them to reimburse expenses at a rate of 1,000 rewards points = €5.

It’s also possible to convert your rewards points to transfer them to other loyalty programs.

For my part, I convert my rewards points into Marriott Bonvoy points (at a rate of 1 Amex point = 1 Marriott point).

Marriott has magnificent hotels all over the world. This way, I can treat myself to a night or two a year in sumptuous establishments where I would never have set foot if I had to pay the full price for the night.

To convert your Amex points into Marriott points, go to this page: https://www.americanexpress.com/fr-fr/rewards/membership-rewards/partner/Marriott/Marriott-Bonvoy%E2%84%A2/SC02

The first step is to fill in your Marriott membership number. It will take a few days for it to be validated, but this step only needs to be done the first time.

Once this step is done, just specify the number of rewards points you wish to transfer. With a very simple rate too: 1 rewards point = 1 Marriott point.

The transfer will be effective within 48/72 hours.

Note that the form currently seems to be faulty; I had to call support to complete the point transfer.
