Reviews and Tests: Geox NEBULA&#x2122 Women’s Shoes, Designed for Around the World

After a year of world tour, our shoes are well worn, we had to buy new ones. I wanted comfortable walking shoes in an urban environment (since we don’t trek anymore), with a rather classy look. And it’s while reading the description of Nebula shoes at Geox that I decided to buy them. Designed to go around the world, perfect in all seasons, it adapts naturally to every movement of the foot. It’s the ideal shoe for people who don’t sacrifice style, personality when traveling, or comfort. Try them on, you’ll feel like you’re walking on a cloud. Moving to Thailand: Nothing could be easier

During our stay in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, we had the opportunity to discuss at length with two of our fellow expatriates in Thailand and we took the opportunity to ask them all the questions concerning the life in Thailand. This article is therefore a summary of our discussions. Note: some information is no longer up to date, read the comments at the bottom of the article for the latest information about visas and buying apartments Visa The work visa is very easy to obtain… if you have a job. Your employer will take care of it for you. If you don’t have a job (you are retired for example),…

How do we find our customers as digital nomads? 7 practical tips

Many people ask us how we manage to live as digital nomads and how we find our customers. This article isn’t a guide because we are privileged and today (we touch wood) have no worries to find customers. Without planning it, our first 10 years of work have allowed us to develop the skills and professional network necessary for our current lifestyle. If you have a few years ahead of you before you launch yourself and become a full-time digital nomad, you may find some tips that can apply to your activity. Background As a reminder, we went around the world for 11 months before deciding to be full-time nomads.…

Interview with Brigitte Baudoz, founder of the service Courrier Du Voyageur (+code for 1 month free)

Brigitte Baudoz, co-founder of the Courrier Du Voyageur service, has honored us by agreeing to answer our questions. Interview. Hello, thank you for agreeing to answer our questions. Can you tell us your personal story that led to the creation of your company? We traveled with our backpack for several months in South America and Asia. A few years later, we discovered navigation and were able to travel in the Caribbean Sea for 2 years. Finally, we were also expatriates for two years. This gave us the idea to propose a mail management service for travelers. We created the postal mail on Internet whereas that did not exist anywhere! What…

How to rent a bank safe deposit box?

Going around the world and becoming a digital nomad also means adopting minimalism. Before we left, we separated 90% of what we owned and gave the few remaining boxes to the family. However, there were still some very important assets and documents that we couldn’t afford to lose or destroy, even though we trust our family, it is too important to take any risks. So we deposited them in a safety deposit box at the bank. Renting a bank safe deposit box? It’s like a spy movie, like Jason Bourne who goes to retrieve fake passports, cash and a weapon in a Swiss bank safe. It is however a classic…

Test and review of the XD Design Bobby backpack

During our world tour we each had a backpacker’s backpack: the Osprey Mira AG 26 for Anh and the Gregory Baltoro 65 for me.We both had a small backpack that we could roll up and put in our pocket. They had the advantage of taking up no space and weighing nothing at all. However, they were not very comfortable to carry and had a very small capacity. With our new life as digital nomads, we move less regularly and have abandoned our backpackers bags and moved on to suitcases. For our booster bags, Anh got her Longchamp bag back and I invested in a new bag.The XD Design Bobby backpack is the…

Review of our 6 months as Digital Nomads

Ohlala, time flies! It’s already been 6 months that we travel and work at the same time. I find that time passes much faster when we work (even part-time) than when we are 100% unemployed (like during the world tour). In 6 months, we put our suitcases in 6 countries, i.e. 1 month/country. It was too fast!I thinka month and a half per city and country, at least, will be much more reasonable. And then, we quickly understood that we don’t like big cities anymore (Bucharest for example, has finished us off) => in the future we will prefer nice small towns and avoid capitals if possible. Seville meets these criteria:…

Testing and Reviews of the Ultimate Ears ROLL 2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker System

After a year of world tour during which every object and every gram in our bags was meticulously studied, we became nomads. If our new life as nomadic workers always requires us to be as minimalist as possible, we now allow ourselves a few extras. Indeed, the weight of our bags is less critical when we move “only” every month rather than moving every 2 or 3 days.We have therefore allowed ourselves the acquisition of a bluetooth speaker. We like to work with music, watch movies or listen to podcasts and the sound quality of a laptop is particularly poor.Ideally I would have liked to have the famous Bose speaker (Bose…

Test and advice of the ABC Liv corporate domiciliation service

When you create a company and you don’t have an office, the question of the address of the head office arises.Domiciliating your company at home is a solution but not necessarily the ideal way to have a minimum of separation between your professional and private life: you will receive your professional mail in the middle of your personal mail, your postal address will be on all sites such as societe.com, infogreffe, ..For my part, it was the fact that we were planning to move that bothered me the most: I had no desire to have to manage (and pay for) the steps of a head office transfer. So I started looking…

Nomad Digital and Tax Resident in France

At the end of our 11-month world tour, we decided to leave our salaried jobs for good to become self-employed and continue to travel while working for a living. The objective is for us to design our ideal lifestyle, to work to live and not to live to work while waiting for retirement. We live in an incredible time where borders almost no longer exist (for lucky people like us who have a French passport), buying a plane ticket is done in 3 clicks, the same goes for renting accommodation on Airbnb, .. In short, beyond the psychological barrier, being digital nomad has never been so simple and you can…
