I tried Claude Code and you should too
For several weeks now, JB has been all about Claude Code (and DeepSeek). He showed me what he’d done and it was seriously impressive.
Let me show you a website you can build in under 3 minutes. It’s a super basic demo, but it shows you how fast it is and how simple, accessible to everyone. You can even check it out because it’s live: http://eur-xpf.surge.sh/
So I jumped on board too. I use it to code basic programs that make my life way easier:
- Telegram bots to send certain info: weather, news articles at a specific time, with built-in commands (to stop/resume automatic sending)
- a script to automatically send newsletters to my reMarkable e-reader
- a script to extract highlighted passages from my books in pdf and turn them into a list of quotes
- translate books from Chinese to Vietnamese in a way that’s even faster and more consistent (I told you I’ve been translating Chinese books into Vietnamese for years, translating a 300-page book used to cost me $8 with the Anthropic API, now with Claude Pro we’re down to $6, and DeepSeek at $0.37 (but quality is not as good).
- create subtitles & dubbing for videos in Chinese that YouTube doesn’t auto-translate
- create summaries of YouTube videos
- create a Windows software that mimics both Audible and Kindle
- …
AI lets you code so fast for cheap. AI agents can simulate how a company works. It’s like having several employees at junior/senior positions, starting at $17/month. I know that in big French companies, top talents (those not resistant to AI) are trained in AI usage, because those with business knowledge, once they know what AI can do, can imagine custom tools to make their life easier and save costs.
That was my competitive advantage for 10 years, I coded scripts to automate my tasks, they work in my place while I sleep or go e-foiling. There’s a digital “me” working 24/7 while the real me enjoys life. I’m not a developer, just have basic IT skills, if with basics you can already code scripts, imagine what you can do now with AI!
If you need demos and practical, more complex examples, here’s a presentation generously shared by Kevin Richard (our friend, whom I highly recommend you follow on YouTube , and X). This presentation is important because it will wake up a lot of people (at least it woke me up, that’s for sure!).
More info and context about this presentation.
Feel free to contact Kevin for your AI needs or to train your talents to use AI!
UPDATE: some of you can’t access the presentation, it’s due to the expired security certificate. Click “advanced settings” then “continue to site…”

If you’re scared, that’s fine, you can read the recap on X.com but it’s less impressive than the deck.
Then, AI usage in companies is still in its early stages. There aren’t enough incentives to save tokens (waste of resources), devs code with AI but many don’t even review the code, so vulnerabilities will be amplified, people create an AI agent in their own image, not to work less but to do more tasks, in a frantic, no-limits frenzy and FOMO, afraid the competitor will get there first, and ultimately AI doesn’t free us, it puts us in another cage. If we’re lucid, we can still use it to get out of the cage faster than others.
The one who wins is the one who brings what AI doesn’t have, that is creativity and intuition : by creating clever tools and sensing the right timing. The idea trumps execution. Everyone becomes a Product Manager, Product Owner and tells AI what to do. It’s time to be hyper-flexible, because opportunities are always there, they just change categories.
Strengthening intuition is really one of my top priorities. Look up the Iowa Gambling Task. The study shows that when faced with complex problems requiring quick judgment, logic alone doesn’t guarantee the right decision, but intuition is very reliable. Truly competent people I observe often decide very quickly, precisely because their intuition is well-developed, they judge right, and fast. Another factor very hard to calculate logically is timing. Intuition can give the GO when it senses the right timing. In a world that moves faster and faster, the one with the best internal antenna gains time on everyone else.
You should all try Claude Code to see. Knowing what it can and can’t do will help you position yourself in the job market.
The difference between the Claude interface and Claude Code is that it can more easily access files on your computer (with your consent of course), create files and upload them online (among other things). Imagine you’re a teacher and you have homework to give to 20 students. You know some students are gifted and need harder exercises than others, and others are falling behind. With Claude Code, you can generate 20 personalized PDFs of exercises based on each student’s needs and levels from prompts. Or if you’re a plumber, you want to create a showcase site to show projects you’ve done and add a contact form for potential clients. You can, with Claude Code, create this site in minutes to hours.
I’ve always thought I was born at the right time, witnessing such technological changes in such a short time is incredible, can’t wait for the aliens to arrive to see what happens hahaha
