Internet on a Royal Caribbean cruise (price, speed, …)

Cruises used to be a chance to completely disconnect.

That’s no longer really the case; Royal Caribbean ships are equipped with Starlink hardware, which allows you to enjoy internet with excellent speed, if you’re willing to pay the price.

There are several packages, but I only have one available on my account for the moment. I’ll complete the article later.

The package in question is the “VOOM SURF + STREAM Internet Package.”

It’s the “Rolls-Royce” package because it gives you internet 24/7 for the entire cruise, with fast speed that allows streaming, video calls, etc.

It’s offered at a rate of €16.5 per day if you pay in advance (€23.57 per day if you book on board).

This package requires paying for every day of the cruise, but it’s possible to buy a package for a single day (see “24-hour pass” in the image below).

The package allows the use of one device at a time (you can pay extra for more). Depending on your smartphone, you can, however, share the wifi with all your other devices. Test it before you go on a cruise; it can come in handy 🙂
