In preparation for my Mont-Blanc internship scheduled for August 2018. Here is the list of the material recommended by our mountain guide to be planned for the ascent.

Material lent by the guide
- Ice axe (straight handle, 50 to 60 cm max)
- Pair of steel studs (fitted to shoes, with ANTIBOTTES)
- Harness + 1 carabiner
- Helmet
- 20 to 30 m rope for 3 persons (8 to 9 mm diameter)
Equipment for rent
- Pair of 3-strand telescopic poles
- Cramponable mountain boots (leather better than plastic shell)
Individual material
- Backpack (30 to 40 liters max)
- Water: Camelback (2L) + 80cl (plastic bottle)
- Pair of socks + spare
- Mountain pants
- Overpants type GORE TEX
- Tights
- T-shirt + spare (long sleeve, ideally merino wool)
- Subpull
- Fleece sweater
- Windproof GORE TEX type with hood
- Jacket
- Cap and / or headband
