Shipito promo code -10%: a service to receive American packages
Are you tired of seeing Sephora US, Ulta or Amazon US products that are inaccessible from France / Europe? That’s exactly the frustration that pushed me to test Shipito, a package forwarding service based in the United States. After several orders, here’s my full feedback.
Little bonus for those who want to get started: Shipito currently offers the code SAVINGS26, valid until September 15, 2026, which gives 10% off shipping fees.
A good opportunity to test the service at a lower cost, especially if you plan to consolidate several purchases before placing an order.
What exactly is Shipito?

Shipito is a service that gives you a personal address in the United States (in California). You use it as your delivery address on American sites, Shipito receives your packages for you, then forwards them to France (or anywhere else in the world).
The main appeal: access products that simply aren’t sold outside the United States, take advantage of much more aggressive sales than in France (Sephora US goes up to -80%), or avoid sometimes unjustified price gaps between the two continents.
Why choose one state over another?
A small detail that matters: depending on the American state where your Shipito address is located, the local taxes applied to your purchases vary. Some states like Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire or Oregon charge no sales tax.
In practice, the address you’re assigned is rarely in these lucky states, and you generally have to count on 6 to 8% local taxes on your purchases. In exchange, shipping fees are more advantageous from these states.
What I like about Shipito
A real tracking platform. Unlike other more makeshift services, Shipito offers a full customer account where you can track your packages’ arrival, request consolidation, add protection options, etc. It’s reassuring to see in real time where each package is.
The “personal shopper” service. Some American sites (Ulta, Funko, Macy’s, Sephora US…) simply refuse international bank cards. Shipito then offers to place the order for you, for a flat fee of around $8.50 plus about 12.5% commission. It’s not cheap, but it unlocks access to otherwise unreachable shops.
Responsive customer service. I was having trouble filling out the customs form, so I contacted customer service and they replied within one business day. Shipito asks you to honestly declare the real value of your packages, which avoids legal nasty surprises, even if it means you won’t always slip under the customs radar if the value exceeds a certain threshold (around €60 in general).
The points to watch
The final cost remains unpredictable. Between reception, storage, consolidation and shipping fees based on actual weight, it’s hard to know in advance how much your order will really cost. Since the exact weight is only known once the package arrives, you’re moving forward a bit blindly.
Delays can be long. With the cheapest shipping option (USPS, the American equivalent of La Poste), expect easily several weeks, especially during peak periods like after Black Friday.
Products prohibited for shipping. Anything containing alcohol or considered an aerosol is a problem: perfume mists, deodorants, shaving foams, perfumes… The list of refused items is long, so if in doubt, it’s better to contact customer service before ordering.
Storage has a free limit. If you leave several packages waiting for consolidation, beyond about a week, additional storage fees may apply, so place your orders at the same time so the packages arrive more or less together and you can consolidate them into a single package.
Choosing the carrier, a real money-saving lever
From my experience, opting for Airmail, USPS or Shipito’s Priority Parcel option increases your chances of slipping under the customs radar. Conversely, UPS, DHL or FedEx almost systematically trigger taxation upon receipt, which can make the bill skyrocket quickly, especially on valuable products.
My verdict
Shipito remains, in my opinion, a safe bet among package forwarding services from the USA, notably thanks to its clear interface. I’ve used their services many times, whether for American packages or Japanese packages.
My advice: reserve this type of service for products that are unavailable in Europe or for really good deals (US sales, second-hand market), and avoid purchases that are too heavy or too expensive (like Apple products) where the cost-to-benefit ratio quickly turns unfavorable. Also keep an eye on the exchange rate before confirming a large order.
A little bonus for those who want to get started: Shipito currently offers the code SAVINGS26, valid until September 15, 2026, which gives 10% off shipping fees.
