The Ordinary Out of Stock? My Trick to Find and Buy It at the Right Price

There are certain The Ordinary products that are always out of stock:

  • Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
  • AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

Whether it’s on Sephora, Amazon or elsewhere…

Some have caught on and seen a business opportunity, clearing out stores and selling them 3 times the price on Vinted or Rakuten. Or selling fakes at exorbitant prices. That’s ugly!

Today, I’m going to give you a trick to find them at the correct price.

Simply on official website from the brand. Delivery is free from €25 of purchase

The pros:

  • the cheapest prices on the market, no exchange fees, prices already in euros
  • shipped from the UK, with a short stop in Brussels, so 0 customs fees
  • once it arrives in France, the package is shipped by Colissimo or Chronopost Colis Privé, very fast
  • free shipping on orders over €25 (or €4.99 otherwise)
  • access to top-notch products not available from resellers (like this little product at €8.7 used as a deodorant, for back acne or keratosis pilaris)
  • access to the 60mlsizes, available only on the official site
my very last order

The -:

  • the site is only in English, but I’ll help you understand and place your order

Here are the best-sellers at The Ordinary, I recommend them with my eyes closed.

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution €7.2: the number of times someone searches for “the ordinary peeling in stock”, “the ordinary peeling available” shows how trendy this product is and often out of stock. Rest assured, it’s always available on the official site for the modest sum of €7.2 ~> The Ordinary link <~ and here’s the link Sephora, Nocibé link, and the Lookfantastic link, FeelUnique link, just in case…
Worst case scenario, you can buy its Korean dupe: Red Peel from the brand So Natural, which is also less aggressive (Yesstyle link)
The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% €5.9: THE anti-imperfections serum par excellence. Look at my before/after photos after 6 months you’ll understand why. The Ordinary link, link Sephora, Nocibé link, FeelUnique link. If after scouring the whole earth you can’t find it, you can get its dupe, B-Bomb from Geek & Gorgeous, for 8.5€ (Geek & Gorgeous link). I’ve tried both and the results are the same.
100% Niacinamide Powder 5.8€: for those who don’t like the zinc in the Niacinamide serum, the brand just released the powder version that only contains niacinamide, to mix with your serum or moisturizer. The Ordinary link (product not available on Sephora)
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 6.8€: featured in Allure’s top rankings, this serum is supposed to be very hydrating thanks to hyaluronic acid and helps rebuild the skin barrier thanks to Vitamin B5. Personally, I’m not convinced, but many people love it The Ordinary link, link Sephora
The Ordinary Amino Acids + B5 6.8€: it’s a better hydrating choice, I think. More hydrating and doesn’t pill. The Ordinary link, Sephora link
The Ordinary “Buffet” + Copper Peptides 1% 28.9€: Extremely well formulated, this serum is expensive because copper peptides are pricey. Excellent against redness, cold-induced aggressions, or breakouts. Not to be confused with the plain “Buffet” version which causes facial hair growth. You can see my detailed review and my before/after 2-week photos here. The Ordinary link (product not available on Sephora)
The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution 8.7€: it’s an exfoliant at its core, but The Ordinary fans use it in a different way because it’s too strong for regular facial use. Its XXL size allows it to be used for armpits ! It kills the bacteria responsible for bad odor, so you still sweat but without any smell. It also works great against back acne, arms, and keratosis pilaris. At this price and especially for this size (240ml, please), you really shouldn’t pass it up. The Ordinary link, Sephora link, FeelUnique link (detailed review here)

Simply on the brand’s official website (here). Let me remind you: 0 customs fees, fast delivery, with the best prices on the market.

Because of Brexit, parcels are now handled by Landmark, in partnership with Colis Privé. Previously, they went through Chronopost. Strange choice! But if you’re used to receiving parcels via Colis Privé, there shouldn’t be any issues.

For those who have doubts, I’ve placed many orders on this site and all my parcels have arrived.

Last order on March 3, 2021, parcel sent on March 5, 2021. Received on March 10, 2021. Parcels now go through Brussels because of Brexit. No customs fees to report.

Personally, I’ve always received my parcels via Colis Privé, whether in Paris or Rouen, but if your Colis Privé delivery person in your town is a jerk, it’s better to wait until stock returns to Sephora or Nocibé for example

Happy shopping!
