Inventory of the unforgettable experiences of our trips

Travelling means constantly accumulating new experiences.

Some of them are extraordinary.

Others are much simpler but are local, authentic and enjoyable experiences.

In order not to forget these magical moments, here is a non-exhaustive list, in chronological order, of experiences that we wish to engrave in our memory forever.

The vast majority of these experiences start in June 2016 when we start our world tour but a few are from our previous trips.

13. Go on safari and be surrounded by elephants in the Kruger Park in South Africa
14. Barbecuing in the desert in Doha, Qatar
15. Enjoying curry potatoes in Delhi, India (not spicy please)
16. Swimming, alone, in the incredible James Bond pool in Udaipur, India
17. Admire the marble temple of Ranakpur in India
18. Being overwhelmed by the Taj Mahal in Agra, India
19. Eating at a McDonald’s after weeks of veganism in Agra, India
20. Getting a haircut and a beard shave in a tiny store in Khajuraho, India
21. Attend a movie in Birgunj, Nepal, the only leisure activity in the city
22. Waiting for hours on a mountain road in Nepal for the work to stop so you can get back on the road
23. Children in Mandalay, Burma, putting thanaka on their faces
24. Admire the procession of monks who come to Amarapura in Burma in search of food
25. Explore the temples of Bagan by electric scooter in Burma
26. Spend a day in a boat on the Inlé Lake in Burma
27. (over)living with 3 earthquakes in Burma, New Zealand and Chile
28. Cross a school of thousands of fish while snorkelling in Koh Tao, Thailand
29. Enjoy the little piece of paradise that is our hotel in Koh Phangan, Thailand
30. Spend a day snorkelling on a small boat and eating on the beach at El Nido in the Philippines
31. Discovering wrecks from the Second World War while diving in Coron aux Phillipines

160. Admire a hundred pink flamingos in the Camargue
161. Visiting and sleeping in the heart of the city of Carcassonne

164. Feel like sleeping in a museum and enjoy an incredible breakfast (in Hermès service!) in a bed and breakfast in the Dordogne
165. Visit the spectacular Villars Cave: its stalagmites and stalactites and its prehistoric drawings that are tens of thousands of years old
166. Enjoy one of the best dinners of our lives in the starred restaurant La Ribaudière in Charente
167. Visit a Hennessy winery and participate in a Cognac tasting at… Cognac !
168. Enjoying for 20 minutes, without any tourists, the Sistine Chapel in Rome (there were still 3 guards to watch over us)
